This was our eighth cruise, and we chose it because it is only and hour away from our home, and we think we got a very good price for a mini suite. Unfortunately, it was our least favorite cruise of all, which include some very small ships in the 1970's and 80's.
We arrived at Port Canaveral before noon. Traffic to, and from the ships was bumper to bumper. Essentially one lane for 3-4 ships.
Long lines, to get to, and through security meant we didn’t get on the ship until 2PM. Then had to wait for the rooms to be readied. No luggage yet even after we were under way. I finally walked down the hall and found my bags in front of room that was 100 numbers off.
Cons:
Mini suite is barely bigger than regular cabin.
Wave design makes much use impractical.
Kidney shaped mattress makes bed smaller than queen size. Feet hung over edge.
Sink next to bed is annoying.
Small balcony.
Mini suite not considered a suite.....in any way, or for any suite benefits.
Open cabinets danger to heads.
Lack of electrical outlets, and lighting system annoying.
Pros:
Good storage space.....volume wise.
Shower big enough for two people.....not that I took advantage.
Typical Bahama Island.
Terrible traffic to get to and from the ships. Too many people and vehicles for this many ships. Roads do not support the traffic volume.
