This was my first cruise out of Miami and I'd heard horror stories about the lines to get on/off the ships but this was just about the smoothest embarkation and disembarkation I've ever experienced. A short 5 minute wait to check in and no wait at all at Customs when leaving. We sailed Monday to Monday which may have accounted for the lack of crowds.
This is an older ship and our inside cabin was small compared to Carnival or Norwegian - sufficient hanging space for clothes but drawer space was limited. We weren't in the cabin very much during the day so the size wasn't an issue. My only real criticism of the cabin was the shower which was tiny.
The Windjammer café was excellent and again hardly any lines. Good food choices throughout the day and they made up for a lack of different venues - no burger bar/deli/pizza bar - by having different sections in the Windjammer to cover these types of items in addition to the regular menu.
Quiet. Very small shower and limited drawer space.
Walked into town and explored on our own
Took a cab to a public beach and then walked into town.
We stayed in Miami the night before departure and visited South Beach - a must for every visitor. We sat at an outdoor café and did some people watching.
