Liberty has one of the friendliest crews that we have experienced. Our room (8660) steward, Selvin Bonilla, was superb providing a smile and positive attitude whenever we saw him along with excellent service. Sommai, our waiter, who has been with RCCL for over 20 years was also excellent. We were on the same ship last year for Thanksgiving and found many things had changed, not for the better.

The food in the main dining room was very good, but it appears that many of the higher end meat options, e.g., lamb and veal, have disappeared from the menu. Escargot and onion soup only made occasional appearances . Overall we didn’t starve (do you ever on a cruise), but we found the dining experience in the MDR uninspired. The Windjammer was packed with all the extra people on sea days prompting announcements at lunch asking you to move on if you had finished so others may be seated.

While the cast productions - Up in the Air, Saturday Night Fever and the Ice Show were excellent, there were only two other entertainers. The Long Run (Eagles Tribute Group) and El Gaucho were at best adequate. Two of the evening shows were variety acts that included the ship's orchestra, singers, cruise director singing and a second short performance by El Gaucho. Perhaps the Long Run was costlier and the CD had to make up the cost on other evenings. Last year on the same cruise we found the entertainment excellent all around.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Great cabin, excellent steward. Sheer drapes had been replaced during overhaul. Drain problem identified on first day with immediate servicing and resolution. Crew area a few doors away did not cause any problems or noise.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Group taxi tour was good.
