We chose this cruise mostly for the departure and arrival ports, but were really pleased with the cruise itself. I had sailed on this same ship in the Caribbean years ago and was not all that impressed. Somehow, this captain and crew made the experience for this trip outstanding. Loved the solarium pool!

We chose to dine in the traditional dining arrangement so got to know our tablemates and waiter and assistant waiter quite well. I have to say that really can make a difference--having exciting port adventures and then knowing that there were "friends" back at the ship each evening to share the adventures with.

The food, drinks, and service were wonderful. Loved all the towel animals that our room steward provided for us. Appreciated the care that the bar tenders took in mixing our drinks (yes, we went for the pre-payed premium drink package and made good use of it--that did help the whole experience as well.

Port Reviews

Toulon

We took a city bus to the cable car that climbs Mt. Feron. HIked at the top on the trails with outrageously beautiful views. Loved the little gift shop up there that had a very lovely cat to pet and fragrant lavender soaps and scents.
