We choose this cruise on The Grand Princess to the Mexican Riviera because of the Port ( San Francisco) which is close to our hometown

First off, for those who choose a mini suite there is no overhang so if it rains you will be inside looking out. The room was ok, nothing special the bathroom a bit larger than a veranda. The service in the Bottecelli dinning room is excellent. The food was average the quality was down from our Hawaiian cruise on The Grand Princess which was very good maybe Rust was everywhere on the ship mostly in the Main Swimming Pool where the steps are rusting away to all the missing tiles around the pool. This ship is in need of Dry Dock! The entertainment is of a scale of 10 compared to Celebrity which is like a High School play. I hope that someone from Princess cruises reads the following review. Some fellow passengers who have cruised in the past from 1000 days to 1500 days which is quite a bit of money to shell out were honored at a cocktail reception where the were presented a bottle of $10 champagne Woopee! I hope this doesn't cut into Carnivals bottom line.
