My husband, 7 year old son, and me picked this cruise because we never sailed with Norwegian, they had the cheapest price to sail to the Virgin Islands, and I was very interested in doing the Escape because it had the largest water park which my son loves water parks.

The ship itself was very huge and beautiful. The thing is that it had so many people on it. My son and husband had to wait at least 1 hour and a half to ride the rope course. My son couldn't get on the best slide because he weighs 75 pounds, and the slide you have to weigh 99 pounds. Elevators were chaos. Garden Cafe had disorganization and no lines with so many people. Food was good. Loved The Brat Pack show. I could have watched it again. How come you had no Bahama music? Never heard the island drums on the ship. No creative buffets by the pool or anywhere else. You pretty much just went to the Garden Cafe or got complimentary specialty dining booked. I was ticked how they would shut down the slides and kiddie water park early sometimes before it was even dark. Also it was hard to find a lounge chair. People reserved them by using their towel. They would fold the chairs and tie them up early. I enjoy laying out at night looking at the stars. Some of the staff were rude (e.g. The Spa & the Casino). Lots of the workers could not speak English that well.

I felt the rules were very tight (e.g. the water slide rule). Also soda drinks are not convenient if you buy the package. I really love how Royal Caribbean has their coke machines throughout their ships to fill up your cup for drinks. With Norwegian, the waiter has to bring you a drink.
