Sail Date: Nov 2016
Cabin: Balcony

We started out our vacation spending a few days exploring Orlando prior to the cruise and parked off site at Lots of Honor. It was only a short 45 min drive via 528 toll road with around $5 in tolls and we paid less then half of what we would have been charged to park at the port.

We arrived to the port at about 1230 and embarkation at Port Canaveral was faster then any previous cruise we have been on. The person checking us in and assigning our sail cards was even able to tell us that our cabin on deck 6 would be ready for us to drop off bags as soon as we boarded another first. In the past we have gotten on board and had to listen for announcements on smaller ships as to which floors were open and schlep our carry on through the buffet. By 1:15 we had already ditched our bags freshened up and found Guys Burgers.

This was our first time with a balcony cabin we were on deck 6 over the casino. Being that we were on a wheel of fortune anniversary tournament cruise occasionally you could hear the PA announcements from the casino but it was very muted and no more annoying then hearing a television left on in another room of your house. Our balcony also overlooked one of the hot tubs from deck 5 lanai. We did not hear any noise from the hot tubs unless we were out on the balcony. They close the Lanai hot tubs at 9pm but usually after 6pm they are scarcely used because everyone is at dinner.

The beds were so comfortable I slept like a baby this cruise and the frames were tall enough to very easily hide all of our suitcases when they were not needed.
