Let me begin by saying my excpectation were not all that high to begin with. I knew Carnival had a reputation for putting more emphesis on FUN that ammenities. The departure port of Jacksonville was much more effeicent than I expected. Our boarding and departure of the port went much quicker and smoother than expected. The cruise ship was older and had a lot of wear and tear. My biggest complaint was with the Housekeeping staff. Food from room service trays sat in hallways for entirely too much time. I mean hours. Also my daughter who is 14 did not enjoy the teen club. She said the activites were few and not much fun. She enjoyed RCC's much more.Food was on par with other cruise lines. The gift shops were a little overcrowed and understaffed. The cruise director staff were excellent! The shows were very well done and enjoyable. The bar staff were great. Drink prices were much cheaper than I expected. The casino was a little crowded but at least they were giving out some money. All in all it was an enjoyable excperiance and I will travel on Carnival again.
