Sorry for the delayed review, first it has been busy since returning, and secondly I wanted to give NCL Guest relations the opportunity to respond to my complaints. If you don't let people know that you had a bad experience then how do you expect them to make it right? We were on the Escape 10.22.2016 returning 10.29.2016.
Embarkation was walking straight in. Then we found out that the terminal was actually supposed to be closed until 1pm. That NCL was supposed to have contacted folks the night before. Umm... no one in our party was contacted. We flew into Miami was at the port by 10:45am. Took an Uber to the port. Then we found out they "were doing deep cleaning" so everything was delayed. So we sat until like 1:30pm.
My husband and I have cruised before, so I think we have the process down. We love to travel in general. We have rational and logical expectations of vacation is what you make of it and don't let others dictate the quality of our experiences. Boy was this tested on this cruise. This cruise was us, and our best friends, other couples (first time cruisers), so a total of 6 people. We are all in our 40's to 50's. We have traveled together before and have a great time together.
Mid ship Mini-suite with bed near the balcony. Roomy, and the bathroom was a nice change compared to standard cruise ship rooms. The bathroom had a large enough walk in shower, with extra shower jets. Overall the room was nice. Had some small issues with the room being clean at times.
