We decided to spend Thanksgiving aboard the Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas. Thanksgiving meal was never so stress free! The turkey was juicy. The stuffing was amazing! They even offered cranberries on the side! Yummy! Wow! What an amazing ship! We ate at all the specialty restaurants. The food was amazing in all but the Samba grill. I say this because the meat was not very appetizing. The service was great tho.
The ship offers great shopping, and a variety of shows. The central park area was beautiful. It was full of greenery and lined with cafes, restaurants and shops. The boardwalk location offers family fun. Burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream were easily accessed in this area. The carousel was fun, even for mom and my teenage daughter. The arcade was also entertaining. My daughter zip lined. We rock climbed.
We were never at a loss for entertainment! The shows were good, not great. With so many other ways to entertain yourself, the shows were not as important to us as they have been on other smaller cruise lines. The staff was friendly and so helpful in every way. We had a wonderful time!
The cabin was small and lacked storage enough for 3 people. I have been on many cruises and know the rooms are small in the balcony rooms. The room could have been cleaner upon arrival. The bathroom in particular needed to be cleaned better. Luckily I had wipes with me, and I wiped down the counter space and shelves in bathroom. I picked up what appeared to be the remnants of makeup powders from past families. Icky! The stateroom attendant was friendly and did a good job overall.
We caught a cab to Atlantis. We grabbed pizza at the marina and shopped. We had a great time!
