Everything about the Celebrity Summit is just GREAT. I acknowledge that it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the Solstice Class or the fun water slides etc (found on other lines). The ship gives you the feel of a traditional ocean liner. This was our 2nd time on Summit and we have one reserved to Bermuda in June 2017. We had Captain Kate McCue at the helm on this Southern Caribbean sailing. We have sailed with both Captain Alex and Captain Kate and there is much looser atmosphere amongst the crew when Captain Kate is on board. (Looser in good way). Captain Kate made sure to spend time with all the kids anytime they saw them.

In two trips on the Summit we had a head waiter named Chambi who made everyone feel special at dinner and had our preferences waiting on us every night. He and his assistant Wilfredo had great knowledge about his dishes. Maria who is one of the cheeriest people I have ever met, greeted us every night as we entered the Deck 4 Cosmopolitan Restaurant (Main Dining Room).

The Cruise Director Luigi was GREAT! Luigi has worked his way from bartender all the way to Cruise Director which is awesome to hear. He is so much better than Ken Mills who is not personable at all.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2A

Cabin 2A

Great Cabin for Millennium Class Balcony. There was plenty of room for my wife and I plus our 7 year old daughter. The main difference between the Concierge Class balcony rooms and regular verandas seems to be that the regular rooms have love seat vs full sofa in the concierge class. Our Cabin attendant DELON was awesome and made our week so stress free and he is EXCELLENT at his job.

Port Reviews

San Juan

We walked old San Juan on our own and then went to dinner at Casita Miramar which was EXCELLENT. Also Bagua Restaurant is great!

Martinique

Skip Martinique unless you take an excursion to the other side of the island. The people in Martinique are not welcoming and they only take the Euro (for the most part). Stay on Ship.

St. Croix

We spent the day at Rainbow Beach which is a $6 per person Round Trip taxi ride from port. So easy to get a taxi. Rainbow Beach has a restaurant / beach bar Rhythms at Rainbow Beach which has Excellent Food and COLD Drinks at affordable Prices. Chair / Lounger rental there too, which you can reserve ahead of time. Get there early for best spot. Cost of Lounger was $10 / Chair was $5 / Umbrella $10.
