This is a review for the Oasis of The Seas sailing on 9/10/2016……..If you want to jump straight to the reviews of the dining and venues please scroll to the end of the review and you’ll see it.

Sky Loft Suite, room 1720 on Deck 17 with the Royal Genie Israel Sanchez, (Izzy). There were 4 of us in our party 67, 65, 35, and 9. It started about 3 months ago when we received an email from Izzy asking for us to fill out a questionnaire about things we liked or what we needed. About 2 weeks before we set sail we received another email from Izzy with the Loop app for communication with him onboard, (we didn’t use it at all it was too much a pain). Izzy sent an itinerary for us to review and then either make changes or leave it as it was. Now the part of the cruise where so many reviews have been read and now I have my input. I will forgo the flying in the day before and all the other stuff before the cruise and get straight to the point.

We got to the port early, about 9:30 just because we’d rather be early than miss any of the free stuff! (there was supposed to be free drinks and snacks available before we boarded, it didn’t happen there it supposedly happens in Orlando instead) We found a line clearly marked Star Class out in front of the cruise terminal. We were instructed by Izzy to keep our luggage with us and a royal representative would take it through the metal detector and straight to our room. When they opened the outer doors around 10:00am, we proceeded to the metal detectors inside. There were two lines one labeled Sea and Sky class, the other Star class. Once we were in the line labeled Star class someone got on their portable radio and announced to an unknown person that the first Star class clients were here. (later we found out they were talking to the hostess that was going to escort us through the check in process) Once our hostess arrived we were allowed to go through the metal detectors to the check in desk. The desk attendant was very pleasant and checked us in very quickly. From the check in desk we were escorted past the first photo opportunity which we were kind of disappointed in not having our photo taken on our first cruise in 5 years. (I’m sure if we wanted, we could have asked to stop but decided against it) we were taken up the stairs to a special waiting area with a sign again labeled Star Class, where we waited until about 11:AM when our Genie Israel Sanchez (Izzy) came to meet us and our neighbors who were also staying in the Sky Loft Suite right next to ours.

Cabin Review

Sky Loft Suite with Balcony

Cabin SL

The 1720 Sky Loft Suite was very spacious and beautiful. It was 2 stories with windows that reached from floor to ceiling. The Balcony was very large and the views were superb! It was always cleaned and very tidy. Would definitely stay in that room again!!
