This was an affordable Thanksgiving cruise for my family of 5 and group of 85. This was probably our 8th cruise. Carnival has always been my least favorite cruise line, but it has its pros, most importantly it's affordable and it is fun. We definitely had a good time and for the price we paid for 5 people over Thanskgiving, we got our money's worth. The ship is very small and very dated meaning it does not have the glitz of newer ships. It reminds me of old Las Vegas hotels in downtown Vegas as opposed to the strip. The food was super mediocre and the thanksgiving meal was awful. The staff does not seem to care much about your satisfaction unlike on other cruise lines like Disney, NCL, celebrity and RC. I was overwhelmed by the smokers. It was simply not possible to enjoy yourself at the bar or casino because the smoke was so thick. The shows were the worst I had ever seen on a cruise. But the passengers were diverse and lively which made the cruise fun. The kids had a great time and there were lots of them. So many kids that you can give up any hope of getting on the pool or hot tub. If my husband and I are cruising alone and looking to be pampered I would not take this or any carnival cruise. But for a 5 day cruise with kids and a large group I feel we got what we paid for and have no complaints for the price. But if you want a top notch cruise experience this is not it. Also on the plus side, the bed and sheets were very comfortable and we slept great. The best cruise line by far is Disney but super expensive. I love Celebrity but it's overall an older crowd (55+). NCL and RC are your best bet for traditional and pampering.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6A

Cabin was small, no sitting area with same decor as very first cruise I took in 1997. Bed and sheets were super comfortable.
