I was reluctant to book a Thanksgiving cruise but it was my boyfriend's 35th birthday and I wanted to surprise him with something memorable. Both embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. Let's jump right in:

The Ship:

The Carnival Magic was a lovely ship! Even though it was pretty big, it was fairly easy to navigate. The ship has two pools, which weren't that big at all. Also it had two water slides, which were very fun. The adult serenity area had a lot of nice lounge seating, cabanas, beach chairs, and a bar. My only complaint is that right near the area are the water slides & children's wet play area. GREAT! So when you're trying to relax, you hear tons of kids screaming and enjoying the slides. Very annoying. Defeats the purpose of getting away. Serenity with no real serenity. Hahaha. The ship's wifi was slow, but worth it if you wanted to keep in touch with society. There are different speeds, the higher the speed the more expensive.

The cabin had plenty of space and to watch the ship sail from the back of the ship was breathtaking...We loved the experience.
