Our second Princess cruise was very nice. Chose the Panama Canal as that is a "bucket list" destination - and it lives up to the reputation.
Embarkation was easy although the lines were very long. Cabin C409 was great - lots of room to hide bags, very clean, a larger balcony which was very nice. Room steward very friendly and normally very fast on the room.
The average age of the cruisers was probably past 70. There were exactly two children (from France) on the boat. Seemed to be a large number of first-time and only-a-few-cruises on the ship. Most folks very friendly. Our Cruise Critic Roll Call had a wonderful meet-and-greet the first full day out.
"Premium balcony" was true - balcony probably x2 the size of the one last year. Room was small but okay. Very clean. No obvious defects. Plumbing and AC worded fine. Shower microscopic like all Princess non-suites. Enough room for our clothes and to store all our bags.
Embassy Suites room was huge, very nice. Dinner was good but expensive.
Archeological excursion was interesting, but more strenuous than lead to believe. Very hot and humid.
Very touristy.
