This was our first cruise. We chose to leave from NY as we are from PA and did not want to fly. We arrived very early and was allowed to enter the pier area and sit down. I did have a mistake with my birth certificate ( which was completely my fault) but the lady who discovered it WAS BEYOND RUDE and was no help at all. All she would do is say well you do you want to join the ship in Florida? She was even screaming at her co-workers in the pier building. A WONDERFUL lady named Sophia at the pier was beyond helpful and directed me in what I needed to do to fix the situation. Because of this we were pulled out of line so by the time everything got worked out and there was a delay in anyone boarding the ship we had to stand for over an hour.

Florida was ok. My husband and daughter went to KSC and had a blast. My son and I went to cocoa beach . It was dirty and so much debris in the water we only stayed about 30 minutes and went back to the ship.We lost a beach day as GSC was not opened due to delay in finishing upgrades due to hurricane( completely understand that) We ended up getting to Bahamas at 1 pm , disembarkation was a nightmare . WE chose to go to the Blue Lagoon. The ship was not able to stop at the beach and we had to take a good hike to the beach area. We did not arrive there before 315. Last boat back was at 530. Big waste of money. Should of cancelled the excursion. We stayed overnight in Bahamas but left port at 10 am. It would of been nice to stay and have another day in port. There wasn't any time to do anything.

We loved the Breakaway and the cruise and even booked another while on board. I did not make any reservations for the restaurants before as I just assumed that it wouldn't be a problem. Unable to make reservations on board. However we were able to eat 3 nights at the specialty restaurants without reservations. The first night we ate at Cagney's the wait was less than 10 minutes. Not bad for no reservations.. Second time at Cagney's it was less than 30 minutes. Food was amazing at these restaurants. The buffet was nothing to write home about but eating in the main dining rooms the food was amazing.
