Sail Date: Nov 2016
Cabin: Aft-Facing Large Balcony

Chose this this cruise to celebrate our (and our friend's) 35th wedding anniversary and the best way to see Hawaii. Very pricey by comparison to the 13 previous cruises we've been on (primarily the Caribbean), about double for balcony cabins and almost equal to the aft suite we had for Alaska.

Getting through security at the terminal was ridiculous, you'd think it was the first time this has been done. No curbside baggage check-in and the table to get an additional bag tag was literally at the other end of the terminal from the bag drop-off area. Very few signs and forget about stanchions to separate the madding crowd. Once through security the rest of the embarkation process was fine thanks to Micheal at the latitudes Check-In.

Our first balcony on Norwegian (primarily due to the prices) and we're probably headed back to a mini-suite the next time around. They are a bit cramped (see cabin review).

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Large Balcony

Cabin B1

B-1's are small, but adequate for 7 days if there are only 2 people because of the large balcony. Store any winter clothes you may have had to fly with and/or close the curtains and the room gets tight. However, worth the extra expense when viewing lava at night and the Na Pali coast.

Port Reviews

Honolulu

Really disappointed in the terminal experience/trying to embark.
