Sail Date: Nov 2016

Following a three night stay in Venice we joined the Vision of the Seas using the transfer provided from the Hotel Anthony. Getting on the ship was very easy as we had previously travelled with Royal Caribbean and as we had already pre booked the ultimate drinks package we headed straight for the cocktail bar. We decided to eat in the Italian restaurant on the first night and the food was exceptional.

The ship whilst much smaller than previous ships we had been on had adequate facilities and an exceptional entertainment team. We chose second sitting dining in the Aquarius and on the second night met with our fellow diners who I can honestly say enhanced our holiday. We found the Windjammer restaurant exceptional in both the food offering and the choice with differing themes every day. (The Indian food was exceptional). The staterooms were comfortable although a bit noisy this did not cause us to be unable to sleep.

The itinerary was well planned and the weather good considering the time of year. The ports of call were interesting and many in walking distance of the ship.

Cabin Review

Cabin state room with window

The cabin was adequate with plenty of storage for clothes. It was cleaned twice a day.

Port Reviews

Venice

Amazing place great in the Autumn as its not as busy. Travelling is easy using local buses at 1.50 euros for 75 minute journey. Plenty to do and affordable if eating and drinking outside of St Marks Square.

Dubrovnik

Brilliant and beautiful we actually walked from the port, not for the faint hearted as it took about an hour. Plenty to do with the new addition of the Game of Thrones Tour since we last visited.

Rhodes

We walked within the medieval walls which was really interesting and I was able to take a lot of pictures.

Kusadasi

This was fun walking around the shops and having some banter with the shop keepers. We walked to an educational area which had a lot of information of plants and trees and the port was well appointed. I even had my boots polished whilst chatting to the locals. Free WI FI available in cafes.

Split

Easy access to the town from the port ,a lovely place and well worth a visit.
