It started out bad after getting off the people mover in Venice, in the rain I found no directions to the ship or anybody to help. Dragging 4 suitcases no carts etc. After somebody from another cruise line pointed out were to go and were to find carts it made it easier. Ok got on the ship with help from a member of the staff with a wheelchair. I got to the room to take a break. The cabin ( 9010 ) it seemed smaller than I have had on other ships, One thing that was nice was the glass shower door, no clingy cloth shower curtain. On the other hand the glass door between the toilet and the sink seems a bit stupid I am not a small person and had trouble getting through it, and if you left the bathroom door closed it smelled musty / moldy in the bath room. You can still see the beauty of the ship but it really does need a refit like remove the ashtray from the bathrooms! Food I am cheep and do not use the speciality dining rooms but it appears that the only free dining is at raffle's buffet. All the (free) dining rooms hat a few choices then on the other page there was items that you could buy. Choice was limited and did not change that much, the service was alright but language was an issue. I was surprised at the service at the Buffet staff walked around with a tray and if asked for a drink I felt I was being rude. I am not used to this kind of service in a buffet. There are some good things about the ship the entertainment was very good. and one of the drink staff after day one would bring me my drink as soon as I sat down to watch the show and would bring a refill before I emptied it. So not great but not horrible., but my biggest beef was the no liquids aboard. If you were in port and got water on shore you can not bring it back onboard nor can you bring cans of pop, I understand with alcohol but water and pop? It is like they are holding a gun to your head buy our liquids or go without and the charge for bottles of water were just stupid.
I know it has an extra bed but I do not consider a pleather flop out bed a bed, the steward was great and new or habits after day one.
