This was our annual Family Cruise. It was chosen due to length (12-nights), departure port (Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ - close to most Family Members), and the variety of Ports-of-Call (for our party of 10, out of the six ports of call, there was at least one port that a member had not visited previously, if not more). The fact that most had not sailed on the Anthem of the Seas was an added benefit as well.
The Anthem of the Seas is one of the most beautiful ships at sea. Take time to look at the extensive artwork on-board. It is everywhere - staircases, landings, Esplanade, etc. Be sure to look UP, especially when walking through The Via. Two70 is one of the most versatile public spaces anywhere - it is an extraordinarily relaxing lounge during the day, a place to eat in the afternoon, and a terrific entertainment venue at night.
The cabins were very comfortable and well appointed.
A tremendously comfortable cabin, which had the benefit of one and a half baths (i.e. two toilets and two sinks!!!).
Very easy boarding.
Very comfortable and clean beach.
Venturing beyond the shops at the dock is not "dangerous" but you will be hassled for anything and everything. Just be prepared.
Very safe port. Walked into town without a problem or hassle.
