Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony

We loved everything about the cruise. The staff were so friendly and happy. They did a terrific job. The food delicious and lots of variety to choose from (we ate every meal at the buffet at our 11 year old's request and were never disappointed). The highlight was our balcony cabin, especially on an Alaskan cruise when there's so much to look at (whales, dolphins, otters and of course the scenery). My biggest tip would be to pay the extra for a balcony cabin, so worth it especially on Glacier Bay day - magical.

We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the cafe where buffet is set up, sometimes rugging up and sitting outside on the back deck (where they also have a smaller buffet much quieter than inside). We'd also eat outside of peak times, to avoid the crowds.

Our son also loved the cruise, he wasn't keen on doing the kids club but still had ball - swimming, basketball, games room and watching movies in the cabin.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

The cabin was bigger than I thought it would be and had heaps of storage. The beds huge and very comfortable. We slept great every night.

Port Reviews

Vancouver

We spent 6 nights in Vancouver before our cruise, staying at Times Square Suites. It was a great place to unwind and in a great area. Would highly recommend staying at Times Square Suites. We enjoyed cycling around Stanley Park, visiting Granville Island and Capilano Suspension Bridge

Glacier Bay

There are no words to describe Glacier Bay Day. Breathtaking comes to mind. So so glad we had balcony cabin. We were able to enjoy the sights and sounds in peace & quiet. When we went up on deck at one point everyone was so noisy - couldn't hear the cracks and bangs of the glacier. Be quiet people! They missed out on the "sounds of silence". We scurried back to our peaceful private balcony. Loved Glacier Bay!

Ketchikan

Loved Creek Street. Lovely area to wonder around. Enjoyed walking through Dolly's House. Because the ship docks right in town we strolled around, went back to ship for lunch and rest, then for another walk around Ketchikan. Easy and relaxing port.
