Its hard to have a bad time while on a cruise. That said I had a good time, but of my 12 cruises this was my least favorite cruise and ship.
The ship, to me appeared to be run down and not nearly as clean as other ships I have been on. Perhaps it looked unclean to me may have been the choice of decor, as most of it was very lite and showed dirt and stains very easily. It just reminded me of a 1970's house that had not been remodeled since it was built, all it lacked was shag carpeting, especially the atrium, much like sitting in the Brady Bunch kitchen LOL.
The one issue I had concerning cleanliness was my bathroom, the toilet smelled. I noticed this when I first got to my cabin. Later that evening when I had time I noticed toilet seat was discolored ( I know that will happen with age), me being me, decided to clean it with a wash clothe and shower gel, it came clean, obviously it had not had a proper cleaning in sometime. I cleaned the entire toilet and floor and the went back over it with hand sanitizer. I did not report condition of bathroom, because I did not want room steward angry with me.
Nice and roomy, noisy during the day from lower deck, but I was not really in my cabin much at that time. Very quiet at night. It could have been cleaner.
Charleston does a great job with it tiny port, However its time to stop the delays and build a new port. It was very confusing for drop offs this cruise, I went to 3 different gates before I got it right. Cruisers and port staff in the parking lots both need to work on anger management.
Beautiful Island, wish I could have explored more but it rained the entire time we were there. I did see enough to know I want to go back again.
You can do as much or as little as you want here. Go to a nice peaceful beach or enjoy the action in Margaritaville.
The perfect beach day, if the weather permits. I managed a few good hours on Island before the storm rolled in, the tender ride back to the ship was and adventure that mad the storm worthwhile.
