I just returned from a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise on the NCL Jewel. If I had to give it a rating between 1 and 5 stars it would have to be a 3 star cruise.
I will start with the good points of the cruise. The crew is phenomenal on the Jewel. Everyone was kind, courteous, and helpful. Always smiling and happy.
I don’t use the pool area but I would walk by it on my way to the Library. Even on sea days I noticed available loungers. Also on the pool deck on sail away day they had a massive barbecue for the passengers. Very long lines to get food and drinks.
I was in an Ocean View cabin, 8610. It was a good cabin but nothing great. Very little room between the walls and the bed, a tiny bathroom that was very hard to move around in. One electrical outlet at the desk. It was located near a bank of elevators which I liked. The steward kept it in good shape and I never had to ask for anything. I did get towel animals every night which I love.
Easiest embarkation and debarkation.
