We are Loyal Royal Cruisers. We had never sailed on Anthem and wanted to try it. It was a vacation to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Shows and Entertainment was fantastic. Loved the Juggler and Comic, Broadway-style shows were very entertaining. Found we prefer the "Main Dining room" format over multiple restaurant experience. The 3 day-at-sea return is almost too much. Tags for luggage became torn off at departure resulting in several of our bags being placed in the "lost" area... that was a drag. We would do this type of cruise again, but would seek out something with a more traditional dining experience and with more of a break-up between days at sea and days in port. We did pop for a Suite cabin and were extremely happy with our room (9632). Dining and cabin staff were fabulous and exceeded our expectations in their levels of service and professionalism. We feel like over the past several years/cruises our experience has been diminished due to the constant "hard selling" and new and innovative ways cruise companies are coming up with to get more money out of you. We do not consider "Cruising" an all-inclusive vacation anymore. Drink packages, Internet packages and the price of photographs are to say the least damn near scandalous. Overall it was a great vacation and we had a wonderful time, which was, after all, the point.
