We choose this cruise because of a very good deal on the Yacht Club. We had sailed MSC 6 years ago and were not impressed at that time. This was an excellent experience.
First of all MSC matches your loyalty status on other lines. Big plus! We were given Black status on the Voyagers Club as a result. This included two specialty dinners, a bottle of wine and fruit, and a solid chocolate model of the ship at the Voyagers Club gathering .
We opted to try the Yacht Club and it was amazing. Well worth the additional price. Balcony suite. Mini bar and food and drinks in the Top Sail Lounge were included. There were tapas, fruit, snacks, sweets, pistachios, truffle chips and gluten free cheese crackers. High tea in the afternoons and piano music at night. Private pool and bar with food on deck 18. We do not drink alcohol but there was plenty of juice, soft drinks, and snacks in our fridge and Venchi chocolates! Fantastic espresso. We had a wonderful butler, Izeddine.
Shower has a half glass wall. Lots of hot water in bathroom. Small bathroom but adequate. Marble sinks. Bright and beautiful. Bed very comfortable. Pillow menu!
We use Uber to and from the port from a Courtyard in Doral and park for free.
We had a live marching band between our ship and Harmony of the Seas on the dock. Great fun. We've been here so many times we didn't plan to get off the ship.
Took taxi to downtown and back. As cheap at water taxi and faster.
Free trolley up to El Morro and back. Get it by the Subway store at loft of port instead of first stop if you want a seat.
