Sail Date: Nov 2016
Cabin: Promenade Stateroom

We just completed a ten day cruise on the Explorer of the Seas to the South Pacific in November 2016. We purchased the cruise on the price as we tend to chase cruises that are under $100 per day. As we had been to the Pacific Islands, the purpose of the cruise was just to relax on the ship. We got a promenade cabin which was unusual but a nice cabin overlooking the promenade shopping area. The entertainment on the ship varied from excellent to disappointment. The Aussie Boys were great and so was the Magican act. On board activity games were fine but they played them differently to other ship. he ship was noisey and the place to find quietness was in the adult only area.

The tender process on the ship worked well clearing the ship fairly quickly.

In relation to food we had many issues and I would prefer to rename this ship “The Contamination of the Seas” for its management’s failure to deliver a safe celiac food environment.

Cabin Review

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

The promenade cabin is quite unusal inside as it has a window overlooking the promenade. This allowed light to come in from the promenade and took away the closed in feeling that you sometimes get from inside cabins. It was a quiet cabin and except for the occasional street show, it was not noisey and you could at times sit on the lounge and people watch.
