This was our 8th cruise with Carnival Cruise Lines and we enjoy the "Fun Ships" approach to vacationing. Overall the cruise was well worth the money and we did have a lot of fun.
Embarkment was delayed due to customs taking their sweet time and people were getting angry with the workers. Thought that was very unfair. Being handicapped I was in the room with the rest of the wheelchair folks and we made the most of it. I personally tried to keep things light with the staff. The young lady, Haug, who pushed my wheelchair on board was a really nice young lady. We ran into a number or times on the Lido Deck.
There were a few issues that we had to address on the ship and further once we got home. Our Agent had booked our room and we hadn't checked it location out. Turned out to be right above the Casino Band stage. That meant for me, a light sleeper, that every noise in the Casino woke me up or kept me from getting to sleep. My credit card was refused, and when shown to Guest Services then said it was fine. Had a ships office be rude and condescending towards me, which I did not tolerate. Also, a minor issue, but one that really bugged me is that they did away with being able to get the "Drink of the Day" anywhere on the ship. Turns out you have to go to the Blue Iguana or Red Frog to get those anymore. Took a little of the fun out of it.
First cabin was directly above the Casino Bank stage. Stewart, who we never met, did a good job. Second cabin was same layout and Sanjay our Stewart did a great job and was very helpful.
