This was our 3rd cruise with Celebrity, and a total of 13 cruises. The only problem we had was on embarkation. We flew in to San Juan the day of the cruise, and got to the ship around 3:30 pm. Made it to the suite check in line to turn in paperwork, and was ready to board. The agent took us to a guy that was supposed help us. He was too busy, so he told us to just go to the 4th deck. Walked on to crowded 4th deck and decided to just go to our suite. There we met Judas our butler. Judas answered all our questions and helped us get settled in. After that it was smooth sailing!
We were in a Royal Suite # 6140. Booked this cruise over a year ahead to celebrate my 68th birthday. Originally looked at NCL Gem, but the Summit had a better deal and a bigger suite. Sure glad we chose the Summit.
With the suite we had the option to dine in Luminae at breakfast, dinner, and on the one sea day. The food and service were excellent! If you didn't like their menu, you could order off the Main Dining Room Menu, or ask for something special. Would like to mention one waiter Lazaro, who knew our names after our first visit. Even if he wasn't our waiter, he would stop by the table to say hello, and ask if we needed anything. We really enjoyed dining at Luminae, whenever we wanted.
The Royal Suite was a very nice room. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. Large balcony with a Jacuzzi to relax in. It was nice to have breakfast delivered to the room, on the 5 days we got off early at ports, for shore excursions. The afternoon snacks was delivered on a cart by the butler, and you got to pick just what you wanted. We usually got coffee and green tea to go along with them.
