We are veteran cruisers (28 so far) and this was our 8th on Princess. We wanted a long one, and although we've done the canal from west to east, never in this direction. Turned out to be a great choice.
Embarkation was a snap. Half hour from dock to room to buffet and food. Cabin was typical Princess balcony cabin...small, adequate storage, small balcony, but very usable.
We chose traditional dining, late seating. The food was good to excellent, and the service was wonderful. Waiter and Assistant waiter were attentive, got to know us quickly, and were a pleasure to deal with. The head waiter, for our part of the dining room, was a pain in the butt. He would come over in the middle of our dinner conversations, and was basically rude. He finally got the message when we basically had to ignore him. Buffet food was predictable...service was very good in buffet area.. No problems finding tables either. Always a clean one available.
Typical Princess. Small but efficient. Balcony was small but usable. Same with bathroom. We found plenty of storage room.
We were only here for half a day. Just walked around and shopped.
Spent the day at the beach. Nicest beach EVER. And it's right next to the ship.
