We choose this cruise for the itinerary as we did a cruise with Princess last year at the same time. The service and dining were very good but room for improvement. One evening we waited a full hour for our main course. The Caesar salad was dreadful. Our whole table went to the steakhouse one evening however I would not waste my money the next time as it was nothing special and the steak was tough.

We did not take any shore excursion but did our own thing which was easy to do We found that with a little home work and a reasonable amount of walking we could really enjoy these ports. Next time however we would need to venture further afield. With the small ship size, embarkation and disembarkation were very easy. the quality of the evening entertainment was very good however we found that other times there was very little to do. Twice they showed movies during the day however it was in a lounge were you had to sit in a chair and then they showed the same movie over again in other locations. In this day and age you would think that they could have had more variety.

We accepted an upgrade from our inside cabin and ended up with a restricted ocean-view 6043 which means we were looking at the side of tender. If you got down on your knees you could see past the tender. The room was smaller and there was no couch although the rooms was quiet. We complained bitterly and got moved to 6004 on the 8th day. This room was much bigger but it was noisy and if the entertainment was practicing then you felt like you were there with them. You had to get up early because you heard the bow thrusters and the anchors.

Port Reviews

Venice

We have been to Venice several times and as per usual we went on a walking tour on our own.

This time we made our own way from the ship to the airport which was easy and cheap to do.
