I could've given this a 3 star for average; however, I look at these types of reviews as a reflection of the staff and the ship in general. With that being said...here we go!
Check in at Miami was uneventful, the lines moved fairly quickly considering the number of guests that had to check in! Check in time for me was 12:30; got there around 11:30 and had no issues getting checked in. We went straight from check in to the gangway! I was super excited and the ship did not disappoint. Some awkward spaces (i.e. Casino layout) but overall, a beautiful ship!
Cabins were closed off; however, I "accidentally" opened the door to get to my aft cabin # 9896. It was early, but the cabin was ready to go! Met our room steward Dennis. Awesome service, but you can tell he was burnt out! I can only imagine what servicing 40-41 rooms per cruise (without an assistant) will do to your body! Especially with the large number of kids that appeared to be on this sailing. Dennis was very attentive and as we typically do, we gave him an additional tip at the end of our stay.
The cabin was great! Nice space, standard balcony was fairly small; and the location for a lot of the 9th floor balconies will be obstructed. If your balcony is mid-aft, you will likely have to deal with the awnings for the waterfront restaurants. Didn't bother me one bit; however, those who like have a clear view of the water right below you, you've been warned!
Paradise beach is always a blast here... great value and a nice beach. Nice shopping at Lagonista Pier... not quite as nice as the International Pier, but close enough.
Miami staff was great, Smooth check in and great check in agent.
For me, it was an okay experience. No excursions caught my eye, just did some shopping.
Pleasantly surprised with their beaches.. quaint and overall a nice time. Food and activities were a great value. We landed at the Krazy Lobster and would do it again!
