Sail Date: Oct 2016
Cabin: Verandah Stateroom

We are experienced cruisers and a frequent cruiser with HAL. This ship is not up to to HAL quality in several important ways. The cabins are the smallest in the fleet! And don't get me started on the hard hard mattresses - we had to ask for an egg-crate topper to make it bearable. There is adequate storage and drawers but the closet in our cabin was partially blocked,

The Lido buffet has fewer choices, the menu is reduced in the dining room, and the food wasn't a good as I recall other ships, tho the new Sel de Mer restaurant was lovely and Tamarind is always good. The Pinnacle has gotten old, really boring menu. AND there is NO LIBRARY! tho there was some talk they will install one soon due to the many complaints. MAJOR complaint here.

The thermal pool was less attractive than other HAL ship and the steam room was down most of the voyage - for which we paid extra at the start of the voyage.

Cabin Review

Verandah Stateroom

Cabin VC

There is some kind of structure in one of the closets which cuts of 1/4 of the hanging space which was a real problem. Smaller than other HAL cabins of the same class, Mattress very hard. Nice balcony.
