This was a 18-night repositioning from Hong Kong to Brisbane visiting port of Manila, Puerto Princesa, Kota Kinabalu, Bali, Darwin, Cairns and Airlie Beach.
The ship & the crew were good in general. The food was not bad in quality. However as Royal Caribbean is an America company, all the supply was by containers from America. As such the variety in food was a bit limited and became a bit boring at the later stage of the 18 nights trip.
In the buffet restaurant, the water & ice dispensers always ran slow, empty or out of order.
cabin is a bit small such that there is not a comfortable seating provided inside the cabin. However overall cabin condition is good.
Manila traffic is horrible. Our 4-hour tour took 6 hours to return to the ship.
No sufficient time for exploring as an independent traveller on shore. No much to see in the city & weather was hot for walking. If sufficient shore time could be proivided, I could have hire a car to travel around.
Arrived in the late morning. Hired a rental car to visit Mossman Gorge & Palm Cove by ourselves.
If the ship could arrived earlier & could get on land on or before 8am, passengers could join the local tour to the Great Barrier Reef at half the price as that from the ship.
Traffic condition in Bali is bad as well. Tender arrangement from ship to shore was terrible that it took us more than 2.5 hours to get back to the ship on the last tender. We booked a local driver & car on the internet before the trip. We had a quick trip to Seminyak, Sea Temple & Ubud.
Very good & boarding the ship very quick.
