We arrived at Port Everglades about 10:30 A.M. and were on board by 11:45 A.M.  Even though the rooms were not ready, we put our carry on in our cabin so we could eat lunch unemcumbered.  We had a balcony cabin and there was plenty of closet and storage space.  The beds were comfortable.  We purchased a coke card and did not experience any resistance from the servers at all.  They served us promptly every time.  The food was good, but not outstanding.  Their desserts and pastries need improvement.  Pizza and burgers were good.  Before dinner, sushi is served on the 5th floor by the casino and most evenings light snacks are served in the same area at 11:30 P.M.  The deli is open daily, however, the Mexican and Indian stands are only open on sea days.  I waited for the Mexican stand to open, but would say it is not worth the wait.  We used room service for breakfast a couple of times and it was delivered on time.  One night around 10:00 P.M. we ordered sandwiches.  It was delivered in about 15 minutes.  However, there is not a large selection of room service items.   The entertainment exceeded our expectations.  The review shows were very good.  The comedian, Happy, was excellent.  Very funny.  We took a tour from the ship in San Juan.  The Juan Carlos show and old town.  I would definitely recommend seeing him.  He is an outstanding flamenco guitarist.  We really enjoyed that show.  They said it was in a nightclub, however, actually just in a convention room with chairs.  They supplied rum punch drinks in plastic cups.  You do not have to dress up for this show.  For the other ports we waited until we went ashore and picked up local tours.  They are about half the price of the ship's.  Tortola, British Virgin Islands is beautiful.  Many people have been commenting on the decor.  It is just a Carnival ship.  There was nothing about it that disturbed us.  That is not what makes a cruise.  The ship was kept extremely clean, which is more important.  If you are disembarking with your luggage, take the elevators up to the higher floors first, then go down.  If you try to go down first, the elevators are too full to get on.
