First cruise, indeed first 2 week holiday for over 20 years. We had spent a Iot of time looking 18 months in advance and it was the port destinations that had decided our cruise. Very impressed with the Cunard organisation embarkation was very easy and quick, this followed through on board with lots of activities throughout the day.

Ports and trips were excellent although Sardinia was replaced by Cartagena due to a parking dispute in Sardinia.

Quality of food and service on board was excellent. On the downside the cost of drinks and spa put them out of reach of the average pocket. Spa was also quite hard sell. The standard set by food and service was very high which when you compared it to the entertainment, meant it felt disappointing in comparison.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BF

Cabin was great plenty of space to store 3 cases, lots of hanging space. The balcony was a real bonus and we used it all the time. Bed was really good slept extremely well.

Port Reviews

Southampton

Embarkation port, would suggest staying in Winchester if travelling the day before the cruise

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Had been to Rome many times so decided to stay in port, OK for a couple of hours some decent shops and coffee.

Cartagena (Spain)

An unexpected surprise , but was a great port visit.
