We were highly disappointed with the quality of the Empress cruise. Rooms were very small, dirty, and bed linens had lots of rips. Directions on the cruise was lacking. During our snorkeling excursion in Nassau no one greeted us or told us where we needed to be and we ended up walking around the port aimlessly for awhile before finding we needed to walk all the way back to the ship. We felt the same level of communication on departure, we did not know when we needed to depart for carrying our own luggage. Food seemed to be all about quantity with no focus on quality in the Windjammer. On the day at sea no staff were freeing up chairs and by early morning there wasn't a single lounge chair available on the deck despite less than half of them being actually in use. The bright spot on the cruise was the kid's club staff. The seemed to have a good grasp on keeping the kids in control and entertained. We always felt comfortable with their ability to properly care for my family.
