This was our third cruise with Celebrity. Previously sailed on Solstice, (2010) and Equinox, (2015).
We spent two nights before the cruise at the Riverside Hotel on Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale which I would highly recommend. Cab fare to Port Everglades was about $25 with tip. Check-in and embarkation were very easy and quick. Cabins were ready shortly after we boarded. We were supposed to sail at 4:30pm but didn't actually get underway until 5:30pm. Heard some rumors aboard the ship that delay was due to some late arriving flights that passengers had booked through Celebrity.
Our cabin was on Deck 7 Starboard/Aft with a veranda. Typical cruise ship cabin, neatly appointed with very good cabin steward service.
Typical cruise ship cabin that was neatly appointed. Spacious enough for two guests. I think it would be cramped with more than two. We enjoyed the veranda especially on sea days as we relaxed after spending hours at the pool.
Stayed 2 nights at the Riverside Hotel on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale. Great hotel, within walking distance of great bars, restaurants and shops. A short cab ride to the beach, and they have a great pool right across the street from the hotel. Very clean, great service.
