The positives of cruising on the Equinox are many and already well described by many other reviewers. The crew and officers are genuinely friendly and that helps make this cruise memorable and pleasant. For a TA the speaker program was a welcome daily event and there were several different topics covered that kept people filling the room each day.

I rated the EQ down one star based on a total of several different deficiencies on this ship. The bed in our cabin had an observable depression that was much worse when you tried to sleep in a gully. The cabin attendant tried his best to readjust the memory foam pad on the mattress and reorient it on the bed but the problem lasted the entire cruise since the mattress is obviously shot.

Wear and tear is becoming obvious on various furniture on the ship and particularly in the Sky Lounge. Otherwise the ship and all other furnishings are in very good condition and the minor wear and tear did not detract much from our enjoyment.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

Cabin is very quiet regarding crew and passengers but quite creaky in heavy seas. This cabin is aft of center and in line with one of the exhausts that produces a constant very low throbbing noise most evident on the verandah; annoying at first but you get used to it.

One of the two beds in the room has a significant depression and sleeping was uncomfortable.

Bed near verandah.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

We walked the short distance from the ship to the Museum with the underground excavation of the Roman part of the city. Highly recommend.

The naval history museum was also very close to the ship and we hit that on the way back from Museum #1.......was free the day we were there.

Lanzarote

People who went on the volcano tours raved about the scenery

Cartagena (Spain)

You can walk off the ship to several very close museums on shore. Booking a tour is not really necessary in this nice port
