We booked parking recommended by Cunard. We arrived at the ship and within two minutes our baggage and car had been taken, what a great start. Our balcony cabin was incredible and everything was spot on . We received a half bottle of complimentary champagne and we then familiarised ourselves with the ship before the safety briefing. We then went for drinks in the Chart Room and then went to the Brittania restaurant for 8.30 sitting.

We had fantastic food and great service every night. The entertainment was great each night with the Rock tenors our favourite. We took two Cunard organised trips one from Le Havre to Rouen and one from Zeebrugge to Ghent. The organisation on the Ghent trip was better with ear pieces and hearing contact with our guide. The Rouen trip was not so good as you could not hear what the guide was saying unless you were next to her.

The drinks are quite expensive but we consumed what we wanted and received a final bill of £285. We opted out of the tipping charge and gave personal tips to those who looked after us. The boat is immaculate and the only two niggles we had were on the masked ball night we had purchased masks and when we entered the ballroom only a small percentage of people had masks and all the seating was taken by people not wearing masks. The other complaint that we had was with one of the female waiters in the Chart Room who was not friendly and too busy chatting up and stopping other waiters from doing their job. We had a fantastic Romanian wine waiter who made our meal even better with his attentiveness.

Slippers, dressing gown, mini bar, and everything that you need in a cabin. Our cabin steward Venus kept it spotless and was very efficient.
