I don't know where to start with my review! Everything about our cruise on the Carnival Destiny was wonderful!! I hope that all of you reading this will ignore the negative reviews and do not hesitate to book a cruise on this ship!! It all started with a really smooth embarkation process. We had our documents printed off the internet ahead of time and we were on the ship in no time. I highly recommend flying in to Ft. Lauderdale instead of Miami. The Comfort Inn in Ft. Lauderdale has a shuttle that will take you to the Port of Miami. You can reserve a room that has this as part of the package deal. It was great, and only about a 25 minute ride!!Once on the ship we were very impressed!! Everything was clean and very well maintained. The decor is typical of any cruise ship we have been on.  We had lunch in the Lido and it was great. Our room was a balcony room on the Lido deck. The room was much more spacious than I expected. We had a really comfy bed and even a small couch!  The balcony was great, I don't think we will ever cruise without a balcony again!  Our room steward was great, always had everything spotless and made great towel animals each night! We had early seating in the Universe Dining Room, and we had the best server I have probably ever had in all six of the cruises I have been on. Leonardo was amazing! A truly kind and thoughful man! The food was great also. We were never disappointed with any of our selections, and I am really picky!!  It was our anniversary, and the anniversary of the other two couples at our table.  He sang to all of us and brought us each a special dessert!! Again, I can't state enough what great service we had. All of the other meals we ate in the Lido or in the dining room for breakfast were great also. We were never displeased with a meal.  The ports were fine. We had been to both ports so we knew what to expect and just spent our days strolling around the ports or back on the ship participating in some of their activities.  The cruise entertainment staff and cruise director were great. They had a nice variety of activities to keep you busy if you chose to be! We really like Stephanie, the cruise director, and the rest of the staff as well. They were always smiley and upbeat!!  If I had to come up with anything that wasn't perfect it would only be the weather!!  It rained for a large part of our day in Nassau, so that put a damper on some things.  But that is completely out of the hands of Carnival, so it is not something to hold against the cruise line.Bottom line-I would sail on the Destiny again tomorrow if I could! It was an amazing vacation!!!!
