Hummingbird habitat on the sky explorer excursion in Ocho Rios

This was our 5th cruise with Carnival, sailing from Galveston TX. We used the "faster to the fun" feature this cruise and it sure was a big advantage. We had expedited embarkation (we were in the first 100 or so people to go aboard)and all during the cruise had perks which benefited us.( cabin immediately ready and luggage delivered within an hour, shorter lines at the purser desk, and 1st on the tenders)

Our cabin was a balcony on deck 9 port side. It was comfortable and clean, nothing fancy. A drawback was a tiny TV which seemed smaller than my computer monitor, not a really big deal but when you wanted to watch something before bed it was not very enjoyable. The bathroom however, did have an issue. The shower drain was so slow that it overflowed onto the floor and we had to use the pool towels to soak up the water and it took 5 days to rectify the issue!

Our dining experiences were all positive for the most part, good to excellent food and service in the main dining room. Room service DOES Charge for some items like french fries????? The buffet was just that, a buffet average to good. Guy"s burgers were good every time as was the taco/burrito bar. We wanted to try the steakhouse but due to some misinformation during the reservation process, we we unable to eat there. That was most upsetting to us since it was out 35th wedding anniversary and wanted to celebrate in a nice intimate setting. (the issue was formal nite vs casual, we were denied access due to our cruise casual attire after being assured during the reservation process that casual would be ok)
