Sail Date: Oct 2016

I recently returned from the 10 night Princess Regal repositioning cruise from New York to the Caribbean and ending in Ft. Lauderdale. We took this identical cruise on the same ship in 2015 and after sailing over 35 cruises, we thought this was one of the best we had ever done. We were excited to do it again in 2016. Unfortunately, there were some clear downhill differences.

The ports of St Martin, Antigua, and Bonaire leave much to be desired as all three are practically the same sleepy islands. By changing one port to something with a little more to do (such as St. Thomas or Aruba) would go a long way in not being less monotonous.

The food went from a 9+ last year to a 4+ this year. While there was certainly plenty of food to be had (and a buffet with a large variety) nothing seemed to have any flavor. Everything was so bland and without flavor I would often have no idea what I was eating unless I was told. Also, the dining room menu did not offer the extensive variety as the year prior. It was just not to standard we expected or experienced prior from Princess.
