Australia to Singapore

We, a party of 4, had sailed from Perth to Sydney via New Zealand 2 years ago & decided we'd like to do another, we decided on this cruise because we'd been with Celebrity twice before and they had been very good, how have they got things so wrong.

1. Embarkation was fine bag drop at the cruise terminal and then had a stroll around the Opera house until our time to get aboard and our balcony room was also ready for us to inspect, a good start.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2B

Cabin 2B

On first inspection very good but as the cruise progressed we found a couple of problems.

One of the sliding wardrobe doors would stick and the other's handle was a tad loose.

There are only 3 sockets. 2 American & 1 European, so if your wife's using hair tongs And the hairdryer not enough sockets to charge up phones & Ipad/Ipods. The bed was very comfortable and really big. Toilet & Shower were very good with plenty of storage space. The essential safe was easy to use.

Port Reviews

Cairns

Good holiday resort

Brisbane

Nice city but a local told us shopping is pretty poor

Darwin

Interesting city took the hop-on hop-off bus good value

Bali

Arranged our own tour with a driver at the docks, he took us to all the places the ships tour went but at a fraction of the cost.

Sydney (Australia)

Been here before so this time we had 1 full day and decided to go to Manley on the ferry using the Opal travel card. Manley is a nice town and superb beach plenty of bars & restaurants. As this was the school holidays the ferry back was full of youngsters and we were well impressed that we didn't hear a single swear word, Australian parents take a bow.
