We were attracted by the itinerary and were not disappointed (except for Ibiza.). This is our second cruise with Celebrity on a Solstice class ship and it was nice that we were already familiar with the lay out once on board. We had no issues with embarkation and our bags were delivered to our stateroom in a timely manner.

We took evening meals in the main dining room on the flex dining schedule, generally eating around 8:00 PM. Occasionally we would have up to a 20 minute wait but this was a non issue for us as we simply enjoyed another drink from our beverage package. We enjoyed sitting at different locations around the dining room and being served by different wait staff. Some have complained about the lack of 'formal nights'. We are glad these have ceased. With luggage weight restrictions, who can afford to waste precious luggage space/weight on formal attire? And we didn't see anyone dressed inappropriately in the dining room on the dressier evenings. The food was quite good and there was a variety. It would be hard to keep it exciting for 14 nights but the food staff managed to do so. One note....stop trying to constantly upsell everyone the specialty dining every time we go into the buffet or come back onto the ship. This is beyond annoying and borders on harassment.

A quick word about the bar wait staff.....if we have a serious complaint....it is with the bar staff that we generally found unfriendly and not particularly attentive, most notably at the Sunset Bar where you had to jump up and down and beg for a drink. The Sky Lounge bartenders needed some serious training in mixology, and the waitstaff there were downright RUDE and made it clear they would like everyone to leave after the live music ended. There is a bar with exceptional service, however, and that is the Passport Bar....and that is thanks to Fraser who kept this place running like a well oiled machine! He was attentive to everyone's needs, kept the bar staff hopping, and entertained us with lively banter all the while. This fellow is a GEM and needs to be rewarded and moved up through the ranks! He knows how to treat guests and he is a skilled mixologist! He should be rotated throughout the bars so he can teach the others how to manage a successful, guest friendly bar!
