Chose cruise based on itinerary, timing, reducing flying to one way and value. Cabin and balcony small. Anytime dining was not well done with lines and poor coordination between sections of the same dining room. After waiting in line, we would see many empty tables and wonder why we had to wait. Seems that the wait staff and possibly the kitchen staff were short but there were many white jacketed workers to be seen. Shared tables seemed to have to spend longer times in the dining room. On one evening, the cruise director advised eating at the Horizon Court to be able to see two shows. That should tell you something.

There was also a disconnect between the Princess Patter and reality. For example, the Patter would tell you that dinner reservations could be made but the dining room would not make those reservations. The Patter extolled the virtues of "My Pics" which I believe was a face recognition program. At the photo section, we were told it was not working. Then they packaged a $20 photo in a menu insert, not a photo folder! Lines at "Future Cruises" always involved a wait. Why not set up an appointment system?

Receipts for drinks seem to have been discontinued unless requested. How else do you keep track of your spending? A special event bottle of champagne has been replaced with a piece of cake. The room service menu for food gets smaller and smaller while the alcohol menu increases. The Vista lounge is as uncomfortable as ever with only the aisle seats being comfortable. On the last day, someone forgot to change the auto wake up system to allow for the return to standard time. As a result, out 5 PM wake up call came at 4 PM. When did they stop using top sheets on the beds? Why do they no longer serve the Alfredo in a cheese basket? All of the above comments is why the cruise was very average when we have come to expect exceptional.
