Please keep in mind this review is from the perspective of a childless honeymooning couple in their mid to late twenties who were first-time cruisers. Our room was D403, a starboard category AA mini-suite upgraded from an AC.

Being from Florida we drove to Port Everglades and parked in the garage. As you enter the port area, have your identification handy (passport makes it easier). Security will stop you and check. Once you enter the garage, pay special attention to where the elevator is. Most people park in the two lanes which take you around and up. However, we were able to get a closer spot on the third lane because it says exit. It wasn't until later that we realized that we could have used baggage dropoff and saved ourselves from carrying so much. Big suggestion - DO NOT CHECK YOUR OVERNIGHT/BATHROOM BAG.

Once you enter the building for embarkation, make sure you have your documents handy!!! We used the same clear plastic envelope that Princess had sent the documents in and we were just fine. Remember to have your credit card handy if you wish to use it for express check out, even if you entered the information online. As you enter, you will be handed a form to complete regarding gastrointestinal (stomach) illnesses. Make sure you take one for EVERY person in your party (kids may be allowed to be listed on the parents' forms, not sure). They were not really good about handing them out to everyone. Also, if you have a book and pen handy, don't stop to complete it until you get in the check-in line. You have to stand there for ten minutes anyway. We noticed that regular check-in went faster than express. Make sure every person in your party is present because they have to sign forms to receive their ship card. This card is your room key, your entrance to and from the boat, as well as how you charge purchases to your room.
