We wanted a cruise which gave us a variety of ports to visit. However, the planning of the ports in terms of scheduling was very poor. We should not have not visited Cadiz at 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon, There was nothing to do as everything including churches were closed. We could have skipped Ibiza and had an extra day in Barcelona. Docking was not convenient at almost all the ports since shuttles had to be arranged to get us into town. And to add insult to injury, we had to pay anywhere from $3 Euros to 15 US dollars per person. We do not understand why we had to pay for their lousy docking locations.
Meet and Greet was a complete waste of time and scheduled inconveniently on the first night. There was no Captain or officers greeting us and no appetizers, snacks, raffles or little giveaways as with other ships. Also, they showcase "The Lawn" which in my opinion is a complete waste and a gimmicks to make money. Bring back mini golf and shuffleboard. And, the shows were mostly boring including 2 of 3 production shows (The Pearl was the exception).
On the plus side we enjoyed the food at both the buffet and dining room. We also like the trivia and games hosted by Patrick and Crystal (two wonderful people), who were the only two members of the Activities staff. I am sure if there was a larger staff, there would have been more variety of things to do instead of shopping and art auctions which Celebrity considers activities, but we don't.
Our room was kept very clean by our steward, Mauris. He was always there to fulfill any request that we had. The hall and room was quiet. The balcony was clean and comfortable.
