This was our 22nd cruise. This was our first cruise as Diamond on RCl and also our first time on one of the larger ships. We booked an inside cabin for the first time to see what it is like and besides it was less than half the price of a balcony. Depending on the cruise will do again.
Embarkation
As Diamond this was easy and quick. We were on the ship before 11 but the rooms were not available until 1. Our luggage also arrived by 2.

The long tender ride and lengthy bus rides to most attractions makes this another stay on the boat port.
Galveston
We live in Houston so we just drove down that morning
