Wanted to experience Fall Foliage without the driving so narrowed the cruise options between Pearl Seas and Seaborne. We made a mistake. Even though Pearl Seas is priced at the very upper end, the quality of the cruise experience is well below acceptable standards for a premium experience.

The really good part of the experience was the outstanding front-end staff who did everything they could to make you feel comfortable. But they had too little to work with to be able to elevate the cruise experience beyond okay. That is sad as Pearl Seas could have been a superior experience equating to the cost of the vacation.

The very best meals we had were the owns we purchased off the ship in ports. Thank goodness for that! The breakfast was good, but all other meals were borderline. The chicken dishes were rubbery, the lobster over-cooked, the grades of meat were nowhere near choice let alone prime and everything was bathed in lots of sauces to cover-up the basic flaws.
