Backround:   I cruised with my husband, we have 10 cruises under our belt, 6 being NCL.   We love to cruise as it gives both of us options to enjoy and new experiences.Hotel:   After a great flight on Jet blue we stayed pre cruise in the Howard Johnson's in Old San Juan, it was a simple, clean, and very reasonable hotel.   With the free trolley right outside our door it was VERY convenient.   It was our first time there and the day and a half we had were enjoyed very much.   Hotel staff, were very nice and made our stay enjoyable, even had a free continental breakfast.   Though I would not stay on the first floor again, unless you want to get up early, the breakfast is in the center court.   Embarkment:  We came in and were seating in a row, we really didn't wait too long before we got in the line to get our paperwork done, we then went to the store and got a bottle of wine, saw some people really buying a lot of liquor, I was happy to be able to take on a bottle of wine, to enjoy in my room.   Some lines don't even allow that.SHIP:  It was beautiful and very large.   Was happy to be able to go right to my room and put my things and then go to lunch.   My cabin was a balcony on the Baja and it was so nice, loved the balcony and PLENTY of storage.   The Public areas were well layed out and very clean and nice colors.   Loved the Piazza area and international coffee area.Activities:  Not as many as on some of the other lines, one thing that was done better was the food demo, the chef and the matrid' were hysterical together.   Food looked great, I volunteered to eat it for lunch but they wouldn't bite.   Galley tour, you just walked through would have liked to know what they did.   It was very clean back there!   Went to play pictionary and was thrown out of the venue before we finished due to the fact they had something booked right after.   I think they lack venues and the venues they have are poorly laid out for events.Meet and Greet.:  which leads me to our meet and greet.   We had 66 come to it, and we were doing a yankee swap, we went as fast as we could again being kicked out after the hour, it was impossible with a group that size.  We were in the Wheelhouse, it was very hard to hear as there are little small areas that are all separate, we did the best we could and my husband ran the swap he has a much louder voice.   The Captain, and CD showed up, the Captain stayed for awhile, he is a very nice man.   Would have liked to get to know some of the great group but it was too rushed.   Note to self, ask for 2 hours.Ports:   St. Thomas did a tour with a great group with met on cruise critics, the best time we ever had in St. Thomas and that was due to the company.   The tour was just OK, we really couldn't understand her.   Toured the island, and went to Coki beach, hint, if you want to use the rest room, pay the $1 to use the one at the building by the entrance.Dining:   We went the traditional route this time with early seating as we like to go to all the shows at night.   We had a wonderful time, we had wonderful table mates,  who we really clicked with and who made us laugh and we just had a great time.   We were at a table for 6 and that was perfect for talking.   Our waiter Lorenso was AMAZING, he was the BEST, he helped with recommendations, brought dh his 2 shrimp cocktails every night and really made us feel special.   We also ate in the buffet and found the food fresh with lots of variety, Cafe Caribbe was very good the two times I went.  Pizza was AMAZING!!!   Who would have expected two oriental men, by the pool to make great pizza and they were so nice too!!!   The BEST dinning was hands down the Crown Grill, it was beyond all my expectations, even the vegtables were great, they have creamed corn that was the best ever.   I had the Brazillian Lobster tail, oh my goodness!!!!!  The waiter also brought me the smaller tail from the menu. but there was no comparison.    I ate till I couldn't move and then they brought dessert, I had the chocolate dessert, dh had to roll me to the room.   He had a fillet so good he said it was plate licking worthy.    Amazing service too.Entertaining:  I went to all the shows in the theater and some in the smaller venues, but they were hard to get into and many people were very mean and you could not find a seat.   So I stuck to the theater, arrived about 20 minutes early and no problem finding a seat, it didn't fill till close to show start time.    Great shows, loved the production numbers, and the performers were great.    All of them, were great.Disembarkment;  Well this I didn't like, you get a survey fill it out then a letter telling you when to go to a certain venue and SIT and wait;    Had went to the dining room to have the special french toast and they didn't have it, so already a little disappointed, then you wait and wait and wait, in venues too small, at least I had a seat some stood.

Summery,  Overall it was a good cruise, but as a fellow cc said any cruise beats being on land.    Time always goes fast on vacation.   Would I go on Princess again?   If I got a good price again, most time Princess is too high for our budget;  there are good and bad on all vacations.   JUST HAVE FUN!!!!
